About the artist

Hello! I'm Alex Calles, a college-educated illustration artist. I'm currently based in central Texas. I started creating illustration in the '80 decade. I also hold a B.S. in Digital Cinematography from Full Sail University. I love working in a realistic style with isolated objects. My most recurrent themes are hands with fruits and veggies. Sometimes I do portraits. My primary technique is mechanical pencils, pastels pencils and colored pencils. I also employ an airbrush from time-to-time.
