The Artist

About the artist

Hello! I'm Alex Calles, a college-educated drawing and painting artist. I started creating art in the '80 decade. I'm currently based in central Texas. I love working in a realistic style with isolated objects. My most recurrent themes are hands with fruits and veggies. Sometimes I do portraits. My primary technique is mechanical pencils, pastels pencils and colored pencils. I also employ an airbrush from time-to-time. My most popular format is 11 x 14 inches on art paper.
